To give you illustrator software users to detailed analysis to share the design of the playful bold crazy vintage poster production tutorials.
First, create a new 600x800px size document. In the above list we will use in the image of the contrasting bright and retro style of color version.
First, use the Ellipse tool (L) to draw a flattened ellipse. Then use the Rectangle tool (M) to draw a rectangle that aligns the anchor point at the top of the rectangle to the middle of the ellipse.
Select the anchor point in the lower-left corner and press ENTER to open the Move Options window. Set the horizontal position to 35px, set vertically to 0px, and press the OK button. Then repeat this step for the anchor point in the lower right corner and move horizontally to -35px.
Keep the rectangle selected, the effect > Deformation > Bulge, and set the bend to 11%.
Continue using the Rectangle tool (M) to add the edge of the hat. This time using the arc effect, the bending value is set to-20%, so that the edge into an arc.
Now we're going to make a ribbon and make our hats a little bit more playful. Copy the Edge shape and move it up a little. Both the cap body and the copied edges are selected, using the Shape Generation tool (SHIFT-M), holding down the ALT key to select the extra parts to remove them.
Copy the middle part of the top of the hat to make it narrower and then change the blending mode to green. Repeat this step and remove the unnecessary parts so you can add a nice high light ribbon to the Ribbon.
Second, to draw those crazy round glasses
Now let's draw a pair of stylish round glasses to make our posters look unique and crazy! First, use the Ellipse tool (L) to draw a positive circle, use the object > Path > Offset path, and set the offset value to -10px. Finally, select the shape of the skin and change its color to orange, and choose from our palette.
Add simple high light and shadow to the frame. First draw the shiny reflection on the glass. Draw a small white rectangle on the lens, move it horizontally 12px and click the Copy button to create a copy of the rectangle. Create two copies of it and place it below.
Group the high light and apply an arc effect, using a 20% bend value. Use object > Expand appearance and use arched effect, 23% curved.
We also have to add a reflective effect to the lens to make it brighter and more vivid. Copy the lens shape inside, highlight and use the Shape Generation tool (Shift-m) to form a curved reflector.
Now it's time to make up the whole pair of glasses! Add the second lens, and the connection part, use a small rectangle on the line. Then add the light and shadow like the lens.
Group the connecting part and use the arc effect to bend 40%.
Third, the art of fashion hippie moustache
We need to draw a simple brush first so that we can draw a beard after the convenience. Draw a circle first, then use the Direct Selection tool (a) to select the anchor point on its side and drag it away. Use the Convert Anchor Point tool (SHIFT-C) to turn it into a sharp corner.
Move the shape we made to the brush panel and create a new art brush. I keep the default settings so that I don't have to change the color and shape, and you can always go back to the menu to change your settings.
Use the Pencil tool (N) or the Arc tool to create a new arch line and use the brush we just created. Go to Object > expand appearance. Select the Smoothing tool (or hold down the ALT key to select the Pencil tool (N)) and paint the shape to reduce the number of anchor points and make the shapes smoother and neater.
Add a soft shadow underneath the beard and choose a darker red from our palette. Put the beard under the glasses and use the mirror tool (O) to create the other half of the beard.
Four, draw a lovely smiley face and retro folding ribbons
First, we will use the rounded Rectangle tool to set the fillet radius to 20px and draw a sausage-loaded object. Curved object with curved effect, vertical-38%.
Add a second smaller shape to form the side of the mouth. Continue to add two white circles, which will form the teeth. Select the two circles and then object > Blend > Build, set the spacing to the specified number of steps in the blending options, 3.
Use the direct selection tool to select a blend group and edit the line to make it slightly curved. Copy a shape in the mouth above the other object and create a clipping mask to hide the unwanted parts of the tooth.
Add two circles to our mouths and hide them with a clipping mask, which will become the tongue. Use the Brush tool (B) to draw a shape similar to that of a small beard before.
Expand the shape and cut off the unnecessary parts above. Use the Convert Anchor Point tool (SHIFT-C) to make the tip of the tongue more natural and smooth, and finally, use the Pencil tool (N) to add a shadow to the tongue.
The last element to be done is the elegant retro ribbon, which is easy to do. Use the Rectangle tool (M) to draw two rectangles, use the direct selection tool (A) to drag their side of the anchor point, add the background of the dark part, and finally use the arc effect, 10% bend the value of the other slightly curved.
We've finished the facial elements!
Now we're going to do subtitles!
"Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken "-Oscar Wilde.
Use the Pen tool (P) and start drawing our first letter "B". Use the Path Finder panel minus the top function to cut the center portion.
Now to decorate our letters with glowing "bulbs". Place a few circles in the corners of the alphabet and link them using the blending tool (W).
Draw the letter "E" in the same way, making the letters more solid by adding shadows. Copy the basic shape and move a few pixels to the left.
Put the letters on top of the hat.
Now use the Pencil tool (N) and write down our next word "yourself" at random.
Draw a bright yellow shape over the letters, and use the Shape Generation tool (SHIFT-M) to make them look nice highlights.
Put the letters in the center of our hats.
Use some pretty calligraphy to write the second part of the word. Here we use the "Adventure" font, but you can also choose any italic character you like. Expand the text and make it more natural by adding a high light and shadow. Bend the object with an arc-shaped effect to fully fit the brim.
The next word is "everyone." Create a simple pattern brush first. Create a bar and put a dotted line above it. Create a simple round shape that will be the top of our letters.
Expand the lines, group them and create a new pattern brush, using the default settings.
Using the Brush tool (B), write a few letters. Decorate the top of each letter with circles.
There is also a lazy way to create an entire word. You can add this circle to your pattern brush. Just drag these elements to the swatches panel and add them to the start and end tiles in the Pattern Brush Options window.
This way you can draw a line, but sometimes they will deform and become less good-looking.
The word is a little bit smaller than the other objects, so you have to decide which technology to use. The following is a comparison of the two methods.
Put the letters on our image, just around the glasses. Add a bright shadow below the letter to make it different from the background image. Also, about the word "else", use the Pencil tool (N) to draw it and put it on the beard.
Now let's try to master another tool BLOB brush tool (Shift-b) in Adobe Illustrator. Check the settings against the screenshot below and compose the word "is" on the tip of the tongue and decorate it with a simple graffiti flower fire.
Finally, we'll draw the last two words "already taken", using the same way that you write "your". Rotate the letter slightly so that it fits the ribbon.
Give your poster the appearance of vintage wood grain
We finished drawing the main elements of the whole screen and we need to add some extra simple backgrounds to brighten our poster. I've tried some colors, so they can be seen clearly on the background. You may notice the screenshot below, I have modified the word "be", "everyone else" and some colors of "is", of course, from our basic swatches.
Add a rectangle with the same size as the artboard, and then use a radial gradient that is bright yellow to orange.
Now it's time to give them a retro style! Select the top of the hat and copy and paste it to the front (Control-c > Control-f). Fill with a linear gradient, from white to dark red, and change the blending mode to multiply.
Finally, go to effect > Effect Library > Texture > granule and use spraying particle type, change the strength to 72, contrast to 55. You can change these values at any time in the particles of the appearance panel.
Apply the same particle effect to the other elements of the picture and choose the appropriate color and gradient.
Congratulations on the completion of your crazy poster!
