I. Hand-drawn modeling

Open the AI software and create a new document. The document size is 800px * 800px. First, use the spot paint tool to draw the base with a hand-painted board. The role of the base draft is only a basic shape and is not involved in the screen. Therefore, you can create a new layer to separate the hand-drawn part, so that you can close the layer when it is not used.
Many may ask why the Spot Paint tool is used, not the paint tool. When you left the mouse button to double-click the Spot Paint tool icon, the Spot Paint tool option will pop up. On the panel, you can set the paint brush pressure accordingly. In addition, the dot paint brush tool draws a line that is a closed fill path, and if you want to use other paint tools to become a fill path, you also need to expand the appearance.

2. Draw a polygon with a pen
Draw a polygon based on the edges you have outlined. Make sure that the polygon is kept in a closed path, which is prepared for the subsequent coloring. Create a new layer, separate the polygon layer from the hand-drawn draft drawn in the previous step, and lock the hand-drawn layer.
First, make sure that the intelligent reference line has been opened. If not, press Ctrl + U to open it. Select White as the fill color, and the stroke is black 1pt. Then, use the pen tool to draw a line that has just been hand-drawn. If you think it is more confusing to overlap together visually, you can unlock the hand-drawn layer, select the hand-drawn pattern, and then enter the appearance panel to change the fill color, change the fill color to another easy-to-distinguish color.
The smart reference line helps you automatically align the intersection and anchor of each path.
If you are not satisfied with your own shape, you can use a direct selection tool to move and adjust a single anchor, but keep the entire screen in a "seamless" state.
3. Color filling-egg roll
When we draw a sketch, the highlights and shadows that best show the stereoscopy are displayed. This is no exception. However, the transition from black to white shadow is also too dull. Therefore, we can select a simple color set and debug it on the color palette.
Here I will select two main colors: one is the ice cream egg and the other is the ice cream. The main color is the two colors, and other high-gloss shadow colors can be adjusted based on the two colors. The figure below shows my color scheme. I decided to draw a matcha ice cream. Before Color filling, set the light source to the position in the upper-right corner. Then fill the egg with a gradient of meat pink. Fill in the gradient part with pink meat, you can use the gradient tool to adjust the direction of the appropriate linear gradient. Select the appropriate color for gradient.
IV. Texture
Since the egg seems monotonous, we can add some textures to it. For example, I will add a lattice texture here. You can customize the texture of a grid. First, use a straight line tool to draw a 1 pt white line, copy a line in parallel with it, and then use the ctrl + D shortcut key to repeat the previous operation, so as to draw a horizontal parallel line, use the same method to draw the same parallel lines in the vertical direction, so that the white grid is ready.
After the grid is grouped, the texture of the grid is slightly rotated to make it visually reasonable. Because it needs to be used twice, you can copy a grid and leave it out of the canvas for backup.
Remember, this must be the order in which the shape is placed at the top of the texture and placed below it, because we need to create a cut mask.
Copy the texture shape to the top, and select the copied shape and texture at the bottom of the texture to go to object> cut mask> Create]
Use the same method to make the eggs on the other side. Drag the standby grid. After another clipping mask is complete, you can add a white line to the boundary of the two shapes.
5. Color filling-ice cream balls
Ice cream balls I use Pentagon polygon as the basis of the shape, fill in color, only need to consider color and light. However, it is not so simple. In the light and shade transition, the slight color difference will cause the imbalance of the entire picture. Therefore, the processing must be refined.
VI. Decoration
In this step, you can use your imagination to add decoration you like. For example, here I add a colored sugar cream.
First draw a sugar cream, use the rounded rectangle tool, draw a shape with a length of 12 PX, a height of 2 PX, and a rectangle radius of 1 px, close the stroke, fill in the color can choose fluorescent color, try to use a color that is different from a green ice cream ball.
Then, we use the copy and paste method to change the size, angle, and color of the rectangle, and use the copy method to produce the effect of aggregation, so that we can quickly get a sugar cream.
Place the decoration on the top of the ice cream ball. The final decorative effect is shown in the figure below.
