To the users of the illustrator software to detailed analysis to share the drawing of cartoon children's toy Water gun effect map tutorial.
Look at the effect chart first.
First, create a new document
Press CTRL + N to create a new document. Select a unit of pixels, enter 600 in the Width and Height box, and then click the Advanced button. Select the RGB, screen (PPI), and make sure that the check box is selected for the neat object pixel grid, and then click OK. Enable the grid (View > Display grid) and Snap to Grid (View > Snap to Grid).
For starters, you'll need grid line spacing to be set to 5 pixels, so go to edit > Preferences > Guides and grids, set the grid line spacing to 5 and the secondary separator line to 1. It will ease your work and you can easily use CTRL + "keyboard shortcuts to enable or disable the grid." You should also open the Info Panel (Window > info) to preview the size and shape position. Do not forget the unit of measurement settings, go to edit > Preferences > Unit > General for pixels, all these settings will significantly improve your productivity.
Second, create the body, handle and trigger
Select the Rectangle tool (M), create a 130 X 25 pixel rectangle, and set its fill color to r = 255,g = 200,b = 0. Select the yellow shape to effect > Styling > Rounded corners. The input radius is 5 pixels, click OK, and then go to the object > expand the Appearance.
Select the Rectangle tool (M), create a 35 * 75 pixel rectangle, and set the fill color to orange. Switch to the direct selection tool (A), select the two anchor points at the bottom of the rectangle and drag them 25 pixels to the right.
Select the rectangle to effect > Styling > Rounded corners. The input radius is 5 pixels, click OK, and then go to the object > expand Appearance.
Uncheck the yellow rounded rectangle, copy one layer (CTRL+C>CTRL+F) at the current position, and then place the copy layer on top (hold shift+ctrl+]). Select the orange shape and the copy you just copied, open the Pathfinder Panel (Window > Pathfinder), and then click Minus the top button.
Using the Rectangle tool (M), create a 40PX rectangle and place it on the top floor. Leave the Appearance Panel (Window > Appearance) in the selected state.
