To give you illustrator software users to the detailed analysis of the production of linear fringe geometric art patterns of the tutorial.
First, create art brushes
To make a stripe pattern, the first thing we need to think about is what tools are used to achieve it more quickly. Because such as stripes, dots, squares ... This kind of basic pattern has the common character that repeats a certain visual law, therefore, we can first establish this visual rule first. The visual pattern of stripes is the parallelism of multiple lines, so we can first define the line as an art brush and use this art brush to sketch our graphics. When this idea is OK, let's start.
Open the AI and create a new 960px*1200px file. After the new success, enter view > Smart guides to confirm that the smart guides are selected. Smart guides can help you automatically align when drawing, especially for geometry.
Draw the first line with a rectangular tool. The thickness of the line is determined by the specific circumstances. Fill the black and turn off the stroke. Then, hold down the ALT key and drag the first line with the mouse to produce a second line, close the second line to the right of the first, and the smart guides will help you align the two lines automatically. Select the second line based on the shortcut key "Ctrl+d" can repeat the previous step of the operation, so that there is a third chapters 、...... The root line.
Select the lines of the compartment to change their fill color to white. As shown in the following figure, it embodies the qualification.
Then select all the lines, find the software interface to the right side of the Brush toolbar button, click on the top right corner of the Panel drop-down menu button, pop-up drop-down menu, select "New Brush." You can't find the Brush toolbar button in the toolbar, you can go to the view.
A dialog box pops up, select "Art Brush", OK. The palette of art brushes appears in the interface, and in the panel basically I maintain the original default parameters, which are directly determined.
Once the art brush is made, we can create it with an art brush. This, of course, is slightly different from the normal brush drawing pattern. We can draw a circle first. Now that we have to take advantage of the linear stripe brush we can imagine, these lines have changed from a straight line to a line. Just like our normal state is to use a circle of strokes, and now become a side of many strokes round. People use art brushes to open their imaginations.
So now we're going to draw an ordinary positive circle, turn the circle off, and open the stroke. The stroke size can be set to 1pt. When you're done, open the Brush toolbar, and then click on the art brush you just made, and soon the linear stripe circle will come.
At this point, go to edit > Preferences > General, and in the general panel, tick "zoom strokes and effects." This option allows your brush to change according to the original proportions as you change the size of the graphic.
The first positive circle production, we have to make 3/4 circle, semicircle, and 1/4 Circle, three kinds of graphics production methods can have many kinds, in order to make the final effect more accurate, I chose to delete the anchor point of the method to make. You may wish to refer to my skills and understand the principles of the technique.
First make a semicircle. Select the linear fringe positive circle just drawn and use the Pen tool to click on the lower right, the midpoint of the rightmost and bottom two anchor points, and add an anchor point. Then, click the Direct selection tool to keep the just-added anchor point selected, clicking the Delete key on the keyboard. This is the 1/4 part of the circle that can be edited out.
Once you do the graphics do not arbitrarily change the size of the graphic, because we will use these graphics as a component to combine the new graphics, so that the combination of seamless state, the graphics must maintain a uniform size. Using this method, we can continue to make a few remaining graphs. In addition to the circle, we can also make horizontal and vertical stripes, with a line tool to draw the normal lines, and then select the art brush strokes. Of course, the line tool also has to maintain a seamless combination of these several circles, so you need to debug their size. Aligns the horizontal and vertical stripes with the shape of the circle. Once the size is determined, do not change it again.
Third, the combination of graphics
The combination of these linear stripes should not be difficult, the use of rotation, copying and other simple operation can make the pattern you want. But this process should pay attention to the sequence of stacking.
Here are a few of my combined processes for graphics.
Once the pattern has been drawn, the pattern is grouped, and the process of coloring is achieved. First, let's do a rectangle that is about the same size as the pattern, turn the rectangle off the stroke, and fill the gradient as shown in the following figure.
Select a good pattern, using the shortcut combination of CTRL + C, for replication. Go back to just the gradient rectangle here, select the rectangle, in the Transparency panel, click the Drop-down menu button and select "Create opacity Mask" from the Drop-down menu.
At this point, the gradient rectangle disappears. In fact, it did not disappear, but was masked by the mask. We click the mask selection in the Opacity panel with the mouse, and the marquee is black. A brown border appears around the selected marquee. At this point, and then use the shortcut key combination Ctrl + V, paste we just copied the pattern, at this time, the painted pattern appears in the mask.
This process is colored by the principle of changing the mask of the gradient swatch with black and white color. The advantage of this coloring is that you can change the color at any time and remove the mask to easily restore the original black and white. Re-click the gradient rectangle thumbnail in the Transparency panel to restore the normal state from the mask edit. At this point, we can also directly remove the original Black-and-white stripe pattern.
When you're done, you can change the color of the pattern as soon as you go to the Gradient tool panel. The final effect is as follows:
Okay, the above information is small make up to you illustrator of this software users of the detailed production of linear fringe geometry art design tutorials to share all the content, you see the users here Small series believe that at present we are very clear the production method of it, Then please go to the tutorial and draw it yourself.
