In previous articles, we have installed and used Win7 + CentOS 6.3 dual systems, unfortunately, in centos, the size of the installation file exceeds the size of a single file that the FAT file system can accommodate by 4 GB. We can use partitions in the FAT file system format to store CentOS installation files for installation.

This article introduces how to use tools to create and write ext3 File System Format partitions in a Windows environment. Based on ext3 file system, we can store centos installation files to make the installation successful.

In addition to the above three software needs to be used, this article also uses a tool to mount and read and write the ext File System in Windows:

Ext2Fsd

In Windows 7, use Ext2Fsd to read and write the Linux Ext3/Ext4 partition file.

By convention, we first download a few files and install them (the file section in the legend is a zip package, I have extracted and removed unnecessary parts, because the partition number can be seen in ext2fsd, so we will not use wingrub. In fact, it is a little useless for us to view the Partition Number ......) :

After the installation is complete (Ext2Fsd does not create a shortcut icon, I map it to the desktop in the folder ):

Then, use the partition assistant to separate partitions in the ext3 format to store the installation files. I divided them into 20 GB:

　　

The remaining GB will be used to install CentOS.

　　It must be viewed here: The CentOS system can only be installed in the primary partition. If your remaining space is not installed in the primary partition, you can try to create a partition, if the partition cannot be divided into the primary partition (the following is acceptable ):

　　

If you find that you cannot select the primary partition when trying to partition, it means that the number of your primary partitions is used up (no quota is available if you cannot see four primary partitions, And the partitions may be hidden, it seems that it has nothing to do with Data erasure ......), If you still want to install it, convert a drive letter to a logical partition (for example, if I find that the number of primary partitions is used up, I will convert d to a logical partition, as shown in ):
