Implement WDS [also called Bridge]

In modern urban life, everywhere is WI-FI signal, holding the book, where to stop, can receive one or several, some encryption, some not encrypted. you can even directly connect to the Internet by enabling DHCP.

I used to share an ADSL with my neighbor's house. I used wireless connections. I could have received two numbers in my bedroom, but I couldn't even get it in the living room. it is useful on weekdays, but it is inconvenient.

Today, I went to the computer city to buy a Tenda wireless router (with WDS, the neighbor's home is Mercury, with bridge). After configuring the two routers, I took this book and made a round trip at home, so that I could receive two numbers at the farthest place (I put the AP on the edge of the canopy, in order to enhance the "communication" between the two routers ", otherwise, the conversation is abnormal :)). the results are really good.

Implementation Method:

1. Connect Tenda and set the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.x, which is in the same CIDR block as mercury. It is best not to set this IP address within the DHCP allocation range;

2. Disable the DHCP function of Tenda;

3. log on to the mercury router (the function corresponding to Tenda WDS is called Bridge), enable bridge, and fill in the MAC address of Tenda in the AP. Do you know where it is? Don't know? How did you change the Tenda IP address? Take a closer look. Save the modification and the vro will automatically restart;

4. log on to Tenda, enter WDS, enter the MAC address of the Wireless Bridge to the MAC address of mercury, and add it. At the same time, it is best to ensure that the Tenda frequency band is consistent with that of mercury. Save it and the router will automatically restart;

5. log on to mercury and check the wireless connection status. After Tenda starts successfully, the MAC address status of Tenda is enabled. Pay attention to sending and receiving packets. If the two are similar, congratulations, you can use the Tenda wireless signal to access the Internet. if the data here is too different, we recommend that you change the router location because they cannot communicate effectively.
