Implement Network Access for DVRs through DNS
Date: September 30,2012
Keyword: dns dvr Intranet Internet Network Proxy
The company has several monitoring cameras with analog signals, which are centrally managed by a DVR through cable, and the DVR is accessed through the network line connected to the router through the Intranet, this allows you to view the current monitoring screen in real time.
Step 1)
Connect a DVR to a computer and ping the computer. There are two methods: one is to directly connect the DVR to a computer through a network cable; the other is to centrally manage the DVR and computer through a vro.
First, check the current IP address of the dvr so that the computer can access the DVR and enter the internal settings.
There are two ways to access the IP Address: one is to use the default IP Address Provided by the equipment vendor; the other is to use the lan ip address query tool to find the IP address of the DVR.
For the DVR port, the default factory settings, TCP port: 34567, http port is 80. You can set it as required.
IP address format of the access DVR:
Http: // 192.168.1.99: 99
Note: 99 indicates the actual address of the DVR, and 99 indicates the port opened by the DVR;
Step 2)
Enter the DVR management platform. You can set the IP address of the DVR device and the open communication port. Set the IP address to a fixed IP address to avoid the IP address being inaccessible every time the DVR is changed. As follows:
Or

The first choice is to find out what remote service port is configured in the monitoring device, usually the device usesTCP 80Port,ADSLService outbound80The port has been disabled by the network operator. You need to modify the remote access port, for example,8000.
Step 3)
Go to the DNS service provider website and apply for an account, such as a peanut shell or kemai.com account. However, the new TP-link only provides DNS services with peanut shells.
Record the requested URL and account information.
Step 4)
Configure the vro to associate the applied DNS service information.
For example, in TP-link, choose "Dynamic DNS"> "Dynamic DNS settings", as shown below:
Step 5)
Enter vro settings (take TP-link as an example) "forwarding rules"-> "virtual server", and set to open the relevant communication interface, because domestic ADSL does not support port 80, you can set the communication port to a port number other than 80. As follows:
Note: port 99 in this example, enter the Intranet access IP: 192.168.1.99: 99, or Internet access IP: sz-star.kmdns.net: 99.

TP-link routing built-in client for remote monitoring
From:Http://kmdns.net/help_list.php? IDS = 116 & con = dynamic_download & mes_title = % B5 % E4 % D0 % Cd % D3 % a6 % D3 % C3
1. Apply for dynamic domain name resolution
Add domain name resolution service
Enable http: // www.comexe.net/member/dynamic_parse.php
You can add your exclusive top-level domain name or second-level domain name to the dynamic domain name resolution service of kemai. After adding a post-paid domain name, you can immediately start to use the personalized dynamic domain name resolution service.
After the application is successful, click "pay-as-you-go" to purchase the instance. If your account balance is insufficient, charge the amount before purchasing the instance.
Modify the DNS for transferring to a top-level domain name
(This setting is required only for the dynamic resolution service of top-level domain names)
Change the DNS resolution of your domain name registration service provider to newns1.dns0755.net, newns2.dns0755.net, or ns.dns0755.net, ns1.dns0755.net.
2. Set the comeddns client for TP-link.
Go to the vro configuration page, select "kemai network" in ddns, and enter the kemai network username, password, and domain name.
3. Complete router port remote shooting
(Take the TP-link router as an example)
It is preferred to find out what remote service port is configured in the monitoring device. Usually, the device uses TCP port 80 by default, however, because the domestic ADSL Service's outbound port 80 has been closed by the network operator, you usually need to modify the remote access port, for example, to 8000.
Open the Web management interface of the router, expand the "forwarding rules" option, and select "virtual server"
Add a rule, for example, "8000" is the remote access port of your monitoring device, and "192.168.1.100" is the lan ip address of your monitoring device. Click "save" to add the monitoring device.
4. Remotely test whether the connection is successful
In the remote IE Address Bar, enter your "http: // dynamic domain + port number" to access, such as http://test2.go2ip.cn: 8000
Or use the Telnet command at the command prompt, for example, Telnet test2.go2ip.cn 8000.
Remote access and control of the company's local DVR through DNS
Keyword: CETS H.264 DVR remote access to ddns peanut shells
Background information:
My company installed a H.264 DVR, monitored 9 analog signal cameras, stored local video records in real time, and allowed access and control of the DVR through the LAN or the Internet.
The author's office router is TP-link old version of the TL-WR541G +, This router built in the peanut shell and come network DNS, the company uses come network provided by free ddns, I have been working stably for several years.
Only ddns of peanut shells is supported:
Recently, the company upgraded its vrouters and eliminated old vrouters. The new TP-link vro was built with only the ddns of the "peanut shell", but not the ddns of the built-in kemai network. Find the customer service of TP-link and find that the new TP-link router cannot continue to use the ddns provided by kemai.
There are two solutions:
Continue to use the ddns of kemai:
Therefore, the author came up with a way, is the old version of the TL-WR541G + router directly with the ADSL lanport successive, so that you can maintain the old version of the router settings, without any modification, the main function is to maintain the pppoe dial-up account of ADSL, the broadcast name and password of the wireless network, and the account information and communication port of the DNS service provided by kemai.
Modify the configurations of the new vro and keep the configurations of the old vro:
Through the computer to access the new version of TL-WR2041N router wireless network, or directly connect to the computer RJ45 port of its router lanport, the main goal is to access the router, network configuration changes, the default access address is: 192.168.1.1, both the account and password are admin.
"Network Settings"-> "lanport Settings"-> modify "IP address (GATEWAY): 192.168.2.1"-> "subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 ". The main purpose is to ensure that the IP address (such as 192.168.1.2) of the router on the previous layer is staggered to avoid IP address conflicts. Specifically, whether to change this setting is not clear yet, but it is more secure after the change.
Then, change other settings as needed, such as the name and password of the wireless network.
Connect the WAN port of the TL-WR2041N router directly to the lanport of the TL-W541G + R. Restart the two routers.
Connect a computer to a superior or secondary router. Generally, you can access the Internet normally.
Method 2:
Do not continue to use the DNS of kemai.com, and re-apply for the ddns of the peanut shell:
Open Dynamic DNS settings for TL-WR2041N and click Apply for or register account ". After registering a free personal account for a peanut shell, log on to the user's personal control center on the peanut shell homepage. Then, in the peanut shell service, apply for a free Domain Name and enable the "Activate peanut shell" service.
After verification, you can apply for DNS resolution for a top-level domain name, so that you can mount the DVR monitoring to the company's website, but you need to notify the service provider of the top-level domain name to resolve the service address, change to the service provider specified by the peanut shell. The free Domain Name provided by the peanut shell is automatically mounted to the domain name resolution address accepted by the peanut shell, you do not need to modify, but directly set the activation.
Return to the TL-WR2041N router for settings, in "Dynamic DNS settings", fill in the account and password, click to "Connect ". If the connection is successful, related information is returned, for example:
Enable ddns: connection status: Connection successful service type: Standard Service Domain Name Information: 1: sz-star-cn.xicp.net Note: After you have successfully logged on, You need to exit before using other accounts to log on.
Set the open communication port between the router and the peanut shell:
After reading the company's DVR manual, I learned that I need to connect to the DVR by using a computer, set the DVR, and access the DVR's built-in IP Address: 192.168.1.1. The settings include the communication port.
Open "forwarding rule Settings" of the vrodvr, and add an entry in "virtual server" settings. The IP address is the IP address of the DVR in the LAN, and enter the communication port set by the DVR in the external port, such as 99, and make it take effect.
In DMZ host settings, add the lan ip address of the DVR and enable and take effect of the settings.
Additional knowledge: In some special cases, a computer in the LAN must be completely exposed to the WAN for two-way communication. In this case, you can set the computer as a DMZ host. |
Now, the settings are complete.
In this case, you can try to access the DVR host over the Internet. For example, dvr.kmdns.net: 99. If the access is successful, you can see the user access logon interface of the DVR.
The configuration of the Communication Port Related to the vro is not clear in some places and requires further knowledge.
