Adobe Reader is one of our most common electronic document reading tools, mainly for reading PDF documents. But it is well known that it starts too slowly. However, if I tell you that opening Adobe Reader can be as fast as opening word, you won't believe it. Let's take a look at the way to speed up Adobe Reader, believe it or not, it's not up to you!
Why not acrobat Reader?
Adobe Acrobat Reader has been renamed Adobe Reader since version 6.0, and the name of Adobe Acrobat in the previous PDF document editor has not changed. So now to download the latest version of the official PDF reading software from the Internet, you have to look for Adobe Reader! The latest version of Adobe reader is 6.0, Simplified Chinese version download address: Http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/6.x/6.0/chs/AdbeRdr60_chs_ Full.exe (24.7MB).
When you start Adobe Reader, you will see a line in the splash screen "Loading and verifying *.api" (see Figure 1), which is the process of loading plug-ins when Adobe Reader starts. The reason for the slow start is that the load plugin delayed the time, and most of the plug-ins, we usually almost do not use, so long as the Adobe Reader does not load those redundant plug-ins at startup, you can improve the start speed.

Adobe Reader speed-up allows you to determine which plugins are loaded by Acrobat at startup. To run the software, first click "Change settings" in the lower-right corner of the pop-up interface to open the Settings window (see Figure 2), changing the Adobe Reader installation path (Adobe Reader Directory) and the plug-in backup path (backup Location), after setting, click the "Save" button to return to the main interface.
Next, by selecting "Speed up" and clicking on the "Next" button, the program lists all the plugins used by Adobe Reader 6.0 (see Figure 3). In front of each plug-in has a check box, if you want to enable the plug-in, in front of the "√", otherwise cancel the check. If you do not know the role of a plug-in, you can select it, and then click the "Plugin Help" button, will pop up the window to explain the specific role of the plug-in (unfortunately in English). Of course, there are simpler ways to speed up: In the Drop-down menu behind "Select Speed up Mode", the program provides two acceleration modes, "fast" and "Turbo", and in general we choose "Fast" without having to check the plugins in the list individually. Finally click on "Start", wait a moment, Adobe reader speed up work is completed.
Next run Adobe Reader to try, is the speed unusually fast?
