This article mainly introduces several POS access methods based on the router platform in the router technology, and gives you a detailed introduction of how to implement POS access. I believe this article will help you.
China's vro technology has developed very rapidly. So I have studied the practical application of vro Technology in several POS access methods based on the vro platform. I will share it with you here, I hope it will be useful to you. In the situation that China is further encouraging card consumption and vigorously popularizing financial POS services, there are many problems that need to be solved in China's financial system, such as high cost of POS access equipment, low access density, dedicated equipment, and inconvenient maintenance. To this end, 3Com has launched a POS access solution based on the router technology platform to address the current situation of the POS access application market.
Integrated "direct substitution"
This solution is based on the communication processing platform of 3Com's low-end router technology, provides solutions that support serialization, high density, manageability, maintenance, multiple access methods, multiple applications, multiple hosts, and IP addresses, and leverages the extended business features of Quidway VRP, such as Terminal Access Server, DLSw, VoIP, IPSEC, VPN, QoS, and backup center, to provide users with integrated network solutions. The solution adopts a "direct substitution" approach based on the idea of facilitating user use and saving user investment. That is, it is completely compatible with the original POS application environment. users do not need to adjust the POS machine, front-end machine, and background host devices, and do not need to modify or add applications for these devices, you only need to configure several commands on the Quidway router technology.
This solution provides communication methods for existing POS access devices. The downlink part connecting to the POs server supports dial-up access and asynchronous connection. The dial-up access method uses the built-in Modem of the POS machine and connects to the FCM single-board interface of Quidway router technology through PSTN dialing; asynchronous connection uses communication cables to connect the RS-232 interface of poser with the asynchronous interface of Quidway router technology. The uplink part connected to the front-end server supports asynchronous connection and TCP/IP communication. Asynchronous connection uses communication cables to connect the asynchronous interface of Quidway router technology with the RS-232 interface of the front-end machine; TCP/IP communication means that the Quidway router technology communicates with the front-end server over a LAN or WAN.
Based on low-end and Middle-End Routers
This POS access solution is based on the low-end router technology platform, including modular and non-modular series of low-end routers. Only the modular router technology is supported for the dial-up access method of POS machines, because the POS dial-up access method requires support of modular FCM (fast connection Modem) boards, such as vrouters 1760, 2620/2621, and 3640/3680. Non-modular routers (fixed interfaces) only support asynchronous access to POS machines, such as 16 series and 25 series. For the uplink communication mode, the modular and non-modular routers are the same.
FCM board is a Board dedicated to POS access supported by all Quidway modular router technologies. It runs on the 3ComVRP software platform and does not require additional software support. For Quidway routers that have been sold to the market, you only need to upgrade the VRP version. Currently, FCM boards are available in three types: 6FCM, 4FCM, and 2FCM boards. They support POS dial-up access of 6, 4, and 2 at the same time. Low-end and Middle-end routers have a maximum of 3680 single-board slots, with a total of 8 slots. According to the 6FCM single-board calculation, the number of POS dial-up connections can reach 48, the backup interface AUX port can be used as the uplink interface. Currently, FCM boards support synchronous dial-up/1200bps dial-up communication that is widely used in the Chinese market.
