To avoid monopoly suspicion, the IE icon on the desktop is no longer displayed by default from Vista. But to be honest, there are still many people who use IE, so many people are not used to it.

In fact, it is very simple to display the IE icon on the desktop like the XP system. You only need to modify the registry.

Open the Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ micorosoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ hidemo-topicons \ newstartpanel. On the right side, check whether {users} exists. If not, add a 32-bit DWORD and set the value to 0.

Close the Registry Editor and refresh it on the desktop.

Has the IE icon appeared for a long time?
