Sometimes the system automatically locks the screen without using Ubuntu in a few minutes. This is a security measure to prevent others from using your system when you are not there. But for most people, this is unnecessary, especially for Ubuntu virtual machines. There is nothing important in it. It is very boring and time-consuming to re-enter the password to unlock the screen after each lock.
