In Windows 9X, how does one log on to the ActiveDirectory domain?

Although the Windows 9x system has exited the mainstream operating system stage, the Windows 98 system can still be seen in some data centers. You can log onActiveDirectory domain.

After an Active Directory domain network architecture is established in the LAN and a user account is created, the user can log on to the Active Directory domain with a valid user account on the client's computer and use the shared resources in the domain.

The procedure is as follows:

Step 2: Right-click "Network Neighbor" on the Windows 98 System desktop and select the "attribute" command. Open the "network" dialog box and switch to the "configuration" tab. Double-click the Microsoft network user option in the "networks with the following network components installed" list, as shown in 1.

Step 2: Open the Microsoft network user Attributes dialog box and select the "log on to WindowsNT domain" check box. In the "WindowsNT domain" edit box, enter the NetBIOS Name of the ActiveDirectory domain, for example, jinshouzhi). Note that only the NetBIOS name can be entered here, because the Windows98 system cannot recognize domain names such as msserver.com.cn. Click OK after setting, as shown in figure 2.

Step 2: return to the "configuration" tab, select the "Microsoft network user" option from the "main network logon" drop-down menu, and click "OK", as shown in 3.

Step 2: restart the computer as prompted. The "Enter your network password" dialog box is displayed. Enter a valid domain user account such as itjinshouzhi in the "username" edit box, and then enter the initial password in the "password" edit box. In the field editing box, the NetBIOS Name of the ActiveDirectory domain is entered by default, and click OK, as shown in figure 4.

Step 2: If the user logs on to the ActiveDirectory domain for the first time, the "set Windows Password" dialog box is displayed, asking the user to reset the logon password. Enter the new password and click "OK", as shown in Figure 5.

Step 2: Wait a moment to log on to the ActiveDirectory domain. Double-click "Network Neighbor" on the desktop to open the "Network Neighbor" window. Double-click the "entire network" icon. In the "entire network" window that opens, double-click the ActiveDirectory domain name, such as jinshouzhi, to access Shared resources fully exposed in the ActiveDirectory domain, as shown in figure 6.
