Best Answer
LAN Settings, key points:
1. Each host must be in the same network segment, that is, the first three groups of numbers of IP addresses are the same.
2. Open the sp2 firewall to share files and printers.
3. run gpedit. MSC --- Computer Configuration --- local policy --- Security Options-Sharing and security mode of the Local Account --- change "Guest only-login of guest users since local users" to "classic-Local User Authentication"
4. Run gpedit. msc --- Computer Configuration --- local policy --- security option-Disable "use an empty password Account to allow console login only"
5. Run gpedit. msc --- Computer Configuration --- local policy --- user permission assignment -- remove guest from "refuse to log on to this computer from the network"

As long as these five items are handled, basically 98% is okay.

It usually takes 3 minutes for the Group Policy to take effect, or you can restart it.

Or run cmd, and then run gpupdate/Force

Check if your protocol is different from that on other computers. Does the firewall on your computer close ..

The workgroup computer cannot be accessed. You may not be authorized to use network resources. Please contact this server for management.

When you build a LAN, you often encounter the following prompt: "The computer cannot be accessed, and you may not have the permission to use network resources. please contact the administrator of this server to find you. "The solution is as follows:
(1) install nwlink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS compatible transport protocol.
(2) Enable the Guest account: Right-click my computer/management/user to have a guest account, and double-click it to remove the check box before "Account Disabled.
(3) Right-click my computer/properties/computer name and view the name of the LAN workgroup displayed on this tab.
(4) exceptions with WINXP firewall: WINXP firewall is fully enabled by default, which means that all network connections of the computer are running and it is difficult to share network neighbors. At the same time, because the Windows Firewall disables "file sharing with printers" by default, firewall is enabled and printing cannot be shared. The solution is to enter the "local connection" window, click "advanced"/"Settings"/"exceptions"/select "file and printer sharing" under programs and services ".
(5) Delete the Guest account: Running Group Policy (gpedit. MSC)/local computer/computer configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/user rights assignment/Deny access to this computer from the network. If there is a guest, delete it. (Cause: Sometimes XP Guest cannot be shared)
(6) Cancel "use simple file sharing": Resource Manager/tools/Folder Options/View/remove the check box before "use simple file sharing (recommended.
(7) the names of the working groups are the same.
(8) Check "file and printer sharing for Microsoft Network ".
(9) run the service policy "services. msc ". Start the "ClipBook server" (Folder server): This service allows other users on your network to see your folder. Of course, sometimes you can start it manually and then use other programs to publish information on your network.
(10) Win98 computers cannot access Win2000/WINXP computers because the guest users in Win2000/WINXP computers are disabled or Win2000/WINXP adopts the NTFS partition format, permission control is set. In general, do not delete the everyone account group in the Security Control of Win2000/WINXP if you want to allow Win98 access.
Note: A. If you are not added to the domain and want to view the "Security" tab, the "Security" tab is displayed: resource Manager/tools/Folder Options/View/remove the check box before "use simple file sharing (recommended. B. Valid permissions for viewing files and folders: resource Manager/Right-click the file or folder to view valid permissions/"properties"/click the "Security" tab/"advanced"/"valid Permissions"/"select"/in the "name "in the "box, enter the name of the user or group, click OK ". The selected check box indicates that the user or group has valid permissions on the file or folder. C. You can only set permissions on the drive formatted as NTFS.
(11) solution to slow network neighbors: Win98. If there is no Novell Network in the network, you can delete the IPX/SPX compatibility protocol installed to be compatible with the Novell NetWare network. Win2000/XP, you can delete all files in the system drive letters, documents, and setting/username/nethood folder.
