    Options Description
SQL Query Defines a custom query that overrides the default query, and PowerCenter uses the default query to read data from the source represented in the Source qualifier transformation. Custom queries will overwrite custom join entries or source filter entries.
User-defined Joins Specifies the criteria used to join data from multiple sources in the same source qualifier transformation.
SOURCE Filter Specifies the filter criteria that PowerCenter Server applies when querying rows.
Number of sorted ports Indicates the number of columns to use when arranging rows queried from a relational source. If you select this option, PowerCenter Server adds an ORDER by to the default query when the source row is read. The ORDER by includes the specified number of ports, starting at the top of the conversion. When selected, the database order must match the order in which the sessions are arranged.
Trace level Sets the amount of detail contained in the session log when running a session that contains this transformation.
Select dissimilar Specifies whether you want to select only unique rows. If you select this option, PowerCenter Server will include the Select DISTINCT statement.
Pre-SQL PowerCenter Server reads pre-session SQL commands on the source database before the source is read.
Post-SQL PowerCenter Server writes a post-session SQL command after the target is running on the source database.
    • Click the Source tab and indicate any associated source definitions that you want to define for this transformation.

Identify the associated source only if you need to join data from multiple databases or flat file systems.

    • Click OK to return to the Designer.
