1. Install EMC powerpath

Install powerpath on dc02.

1.1.1.1.1 configure the brocade optical fiber switch

The MOD data center has two switches (Top, bottom), one server dc02 and one EMC. The topo diagram is as follows:

Therefore, all connections are optical fiber connections.

Requirement: allocate bak01 and top switch in a zone.

Step 1: Login to top switch

Step 2: Collect the device WWN on the port

Top_sw: Admin> portshow 8

Portwwn: 20: XX: xx

Portwwn of device (s) connected:

10: 00: XX: xx

Create alias

Top_sw: Admin> alicreate "bak1", "20: XX"

Spa: top_spa

SPB: top_spb

Create Zone

Top_sw: Admin> zonecreate "top_bak01_zone", "bak1; top_spa; top_spb"

Add the current zone to the existing configuration

Top_sw: Admin> Add "main_config", "top_bak01_zone"

Activate zone Configuration

Top_sw: Admin> cfgenable main_config

Save zone Configuration

Top_sw: Admin> saved save

1.1.1.1.2 install the manager agent

1. Click naviagent.exe to install the tool.

2. Create an agentid.txt file in C:/program filesemc/manager agent. Add two lines in the file. The first line is the host name, and the second line is the Host IP address.

3. Run agentconfiginit.exe in C: Program filesemcmanager agent. Select create/overwrite file and click Add. A dialog box is displayed. Enter system after user name and spa IP address after system name. Click Add to add the SPB information. Click OK to save.

4. You can view the configuration file of agent. config as follows:

5. Restart the agent service.
