Insert a flash report into PowerPoint and play it automatically

The fushionchart (infosoft global) is embedded in PowerPoint. The software versions include Power Point 2003 and fushionchart3.1 evaluation. The steps are as follows. For details, refer to the fushion chart documentation.

 

Preparations: column3d.swf, Data. xml.

Save the above files in the same directory, for example, F:/fushionchartpowerpointdemo, and create a new test.ppt file under the directory.

 

1. Right-click the toolbar and choose control toolbox to open it.
2. Click "control toolbox"> "Shockwave Flash Object" and double-click it. In the editing area of the PPT, drag and drop a flash area.
3. Select this area, right-click, and select "attribute". On the right of a movie item, paste the path of the flash file, note that the file name (including the extension SWF) must be included at the end of the path ).

This completes inserting the fushion chart into the PPT. However, in the official documentation of fushion chart, it is written as follows:

To use fusioncharts in PowerPoint presentation, you need to keep a central location for your presentation containing the charts. this location reference shouldn't change even if the presentation is transferred from one machine to another. for e.g ., if you're building the presentation in C:/presentations/mynewpresentation on machine 1, the path shocould stay the same on Machine 2 too, if you want to port the presentation.

This is because Shockwave object uses absolute reference for path of SwF objects.

 

Attributes are described as follows:

 

Base: the PPT uses this path to find the Flash video. Here it is set to ".".

Movie: Enter the complete path and name of the Flash Movie, or a network URL, such as column3d.swf (you do not need to specify the disk path, but can include parameters ).

Embedmovie: Specifies whether to embed a video. Set this parameter to false.

Playing: set to true, indicating that the Flash Movie starts playing as soon as the slides are played. If you want to control the start time of a movie, set this attribute to false.

Loop: If you want to play a Flash Movie repeatedly, set the loop attribute to true; otherwise, set it to false.

Menu: during playback, if you want to right-click the option menu when a Flash Movie is being played, set this attribute to true.

Quality: set to 1 to indicate the best playback quality.

Quality2: Set to high. Other allowed attribute values include medium and low.

 

 

The general meaning is as follows:

 

Before creating a PPT that contains the fushion chart, you must specify a storage location for the PPT, such as C:/presentations/mynewpresentation, you must place it in the same directory and directory c:/presentations/mynewpresentation. Otherwise, the embedded flash cannot be played normally.

This problem can be solved by setting the base. At the same time, after the video is played after the test, the next time you play the video, you will find that flash cannot play automatically. You need to right-click "play" and observe the flash properties to automatically change playing to false. In this case, a trick is to set the playing attribute of flash to true. Do not test the playback of the PPT and save it directly. The flash in the PPT will be automatically played in the future.

Another point must be declared. We did not specify the XML data file it loads when embedding flash. By default, it will load data in the same directory. XML file.
