① Click Insert on the menu bar and select field in the Drop-down list that pops up.

② Select "Document Information" in the pop-up "domain" window, select "NumChars" under "Domain Name", and finalize

At this point, a "0" will appear in the document, regardless of it. You continue to enter some text in the document, then the number points to select the "0" field, the right mouse button menu "update field."
