The user can easily insert the Chinese page numbers in the vertical format in the Word2010 document, thus making a Word document in the style of ancient books, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the page Number button in the Header and footer group, in the Open menu, point to the Margins menu, and in the Open Margin panel, select the large (left) or large (right) option for normal numbers, as shown in Figure 2010093008.

Step 2nd, open the Header and Footer Tools Ribbon, click the page Number button in the Header and Footer group, and select the Format page numbering option in the Open menu, as shown in Figure 2010093009.

3rd step, in the Open Page Number Format dialog box, click the numbering format drop-down triangle button. In the numbering format Drop-down list, select the "one, two or three (Jane) ..." option and click OK, as shown in Figure 2010093010.

Step 4th, return to the header and footer editing status, drag the control point of the page number text box to reduce its width, and increase its height to make the page number format vertical, as shown in Figure 2010093011.
