Blob fields, in fact, are used to store binary types of data, such as: large text, files, pictures and other information directly stored in the database of a solution
So, if there is a BLOB type field for the newly inserted record, you need to first use Empty_blob () in the Blob field to have the record saved to the database first;
Then, using the UPDATE statement, update the value of the BLOB field with the following code:
To construct an UPDATE statement:
String strsql= "Update tablename set rangecoords=:coords where query condition";
Create Oracle Parameters
byte[] Bigtextbyte = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes (BigText);
OracleParameter Coordspara = new OracleParameter (": coords", Oracletype.blob, Bigtextbyte.length);
OracleParameter Coordspara.value = bigtextbyte;
OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand ();
Cmd. Connection = conn;
Cmd.commandtext = strSQL;
Cmd. Parameters.Add (Coordspara);
Cmd. ExecuteNonQuery ();
This will solve the problem smoothly!
