Inspur signs cooperation agreement with RedHat. inspur will become an OEM Partner of RedHat.
In September 29, inspur group recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with red hat, an open-source manufacturer. The two sides, based on the Red Hat new-generation enterprise operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 ), as well as comprehensive strategic cooperation between the nine categories of x86 platform products of inspur. According to the Cooperation Agreement, inspur will become a Red Hat OEM Partner. It is reported that the OEM Partner is the highest-level partner of RedHat and enjoys the best price and technical support.

This cooperation, red Hat will provide comprehensive technical and service support for nine categories of inspur x86 computing products, including inspur NP series tower servers, NF series rack servers, inspur storage servers, and NX series blade servers. During user selection, inspur will give priority to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux7 operating system. Since then, the two sides will also cooperate in cloud computing, big data, storage, virtualization, and other aspects of the Red Hat Enterprise OpenStack platform.
Currently, China has become a global server market growth highlight. According to the server sales data published by Gartner in first quarter of 2014, inspur server has a market share of 19%, ranking first in China and fifth in the world, the year-on-year growth rate was 288%, making it the fastest growing global manufacturer. RedHat has become the world's leading enterprise operating system since its launch more than a decade ago. Today, more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies around the world are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Solutions.
ScottMusson, vice president of RedHat global strategic alliance, said that there are more and more enterprise-level users using Linux systems in China. The strategic cooperation between the two sides is to meet the needs of market trends, on the other hand, it is to bring better services and price concessions to users, and it is also an important step for the wave to enter the international market.
