Install ADT in eclipse

Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede)

 

• Start eclipse and selectHelp>Software Updates.... In the displayed dialog box, clickAvailable SoftwareTab.
• ClickAdd site...
• Enter the following URL in the location field of the add site dialog box: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ Note: If you encounter problems accessing the plug-in, you can change the HTTPS in the URL to HTTP (it is safer to Use https ). ClickOK.
• Return to the available software interface, you can see the list of plug-ins contained in the URL, which contains one developer tools. Select the check box next to developer tools, and clickInstall ....
• The selected Android ddms and Android development tools appear in the installation window. ClickNext.
• Read and accept the license agreement, and then clickFinish.
• Restart eclipse.

 

Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo)

• Start eclipse and selectHelp>Install new software.
• In the available software dialog box, clickAdd....
• In the Name field of the add site dialog box, enter the name of the remote site (for example, "android plugin "). In the location field, enter the following url: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/#:. if you encounter a problem when accessing the plug-in, you can change the HTTPS in the URL to HTTP (it is safer to Use https ). ClickOK.
• Return to the available software interface and you can see the Developer Tools Options in the list. Select the check box next to Developer Tools to select both Android ddms and Android development tools. ClickNext.
• In the last install details dialog box, features such as Android ddms and Android development tools are listed. ClickNextRead and accept the license agreement, install all dependent components at the same time, and then clickFinish.
• Restart eclipse.
