MySQL conflicts with mysql-server-5.0.77-4.el5_4.2.i386
Rpm-qa | grep mysql can see the installed mysql. After running, the following mysql appears in my system:
Mysql-server-5.0.77-4.el5_4.2
Libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.8.1a-1.2.2
Mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.26r1127-1.el5
As a result, some people say that they can unload their own versions from the last one. In fact, it doesn't matter. I just uninstalled them from the first one. However, there are two problems during uninstallation:
Question 1:
Run Command: rpm-e mysql-server-5.0.77-4.e15_4.2
Error prompt: error: package mysql-server-5.0.77-4.e15_4.2 is not installed
Solution: rpm-e mysql-server-5.0.77 (this is a strange reason, it is estimated that the next string of numbers does not represent the version ......)
Question 2: dependencies
Run Command: rpm-e mysql-server-5.0.77-4.el5_4.2
Error: Failed dependencies:
Libmysqlcient. so ....................................... .......................... i386
Limysqlclient. so ....................................... .................................. i386
Solution:
After the command is uninstalled, add parameters without considering dependencies. The problem is solved.
Rpm-e mysql-server-5.0.77 -- nodeps
Installation:
1. Install the server
(1) run the following command in the directory/usr/local with two rmp files:
[Root @ localhost local] # rpm MySQL-server-5.1.52-1.glibc23.i386.rpm.
The following information is displayed:
Preparing ...... ######################################## ### [100%]
1: mySQL-server ##################################### ###### [100%]
Please remember to set a password for the MySQL root USER! To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:/usr/bin/mysqladmin-u root password 'new-password'
/Usr/bin/mysqladmin-u root-h localhost. localdomain password 'new-password'
Alternatively you can run:/usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation which will also give you the option of removing the test databases and anonymous user created by default. This is strongly recommended for produservers. See the manual for more instructions. Please report any problems with the/usr/bin/mysqlbug script!
Starting MySQL .. [OK]
If the preceding information is displayed, the Server installation is complete.
