Note: This article describes how to install Bi content on the Bi trial version. If you encounter problems and other operations (such as request import), it may appear messy, therefore, it is best to read it again quickly before performing actual operations.

Body:

Because there is a plan to analyze Bi content recently, but the trial version is an empty shell, I am wondering how to install Bi content.

First, download the package of Bi content from SAP service marketplace:
K-704DHINBICONT.SAR.

There are two grand introduction of T-CODE first:
STMs: organization, implementation, and monitoring of inter-system transmission
Saint: Install and update sap support package and add-on.
At first I asked basic about how to install the support package and he told me the T-CODE: Saint. Therefore, we will try and make an error in the next period of time.

Once you enter this interface, the installed package is displayed.

2. install package

There are two ways to import the Installation File: import the file directly from the current client or upload the file to the application first.ServerIf you upload the file to the application server first, you must put it under the specified directory. (Permission issues will be involved in this directory. Let's talk about it later ).

3. We use front
The system will pop up the file selection window. After confirmation, the following window will pop up.

That is to say, if the progress of the file is greater than MB, it will be very slow. Therefore, we recommend that you decompress the file and then upload it directly to the application server using FTP.

Because the sap EXE directory is not defined in path, if you want to execute the sap decompression command, you need to run the command into the EXE Directory: D: \ USR \ sap \ NSP \ dvebmgs00 \ exe ),
In addition, Windows systems are not case sensitive to directory names. The decompression format is:

Sapcar-xvf/<cd_dir>/inSt/data/<SAR archive> on UNIX,

Sapcar '-xvf/qopt/<volid>/inSt/data/<SAR archive>' on AS/400,

Sapcar-xvf <cd_drive>: \ inst \ data \ <SAR archive> on Windows NT.

Because we are windows, so use the last format, my SAR file is placed on the E disk, so the command should be sapcar-xvf E: \ K-704IHINBICONT.SAR

After decompression, two files will be produced. Note that the generated files are in the EXE folder, but they are not directly under the entire folder, but will be placed in the directory of EPS \ In, the entire directory structure is consistent with the FTP directory structure.

Copy the two files to the corresponding FTP directory,

4. re-enter Saint. This time we choose Application

We have just put the extracted file in the corresponding directory, so we can select "yes.

5. After completing the preceding steps, we will proceed to the next import step.

It turns out that there is nothing in the list.

I have been tossing this step for a long time, and I have turned over the menu. However, the package just imported is never seen.

The package list shows that the package has been recognized by the system but not imported.

In the words of autumn rain, it is "a bit difficult to understand". Sometimes it is really an expert to say that the road is like a mountain. Because you don't have to worry about it, just try again. So I will talk about this to basic later. I have read about what I want to install license for a long time, but I can be fooled.

This cannot be done, so I just want to change the way. Do not allow me to export the package. Another method is to upload the request. Because there is no other environment in the office, there is no way to directly transmit the request. There are two programs searched on the Internet to achieve download/upload.

A strange problem here is that many illegal characters appear in the transcript or program. So I copied it to the word first and sent a post.

I first found a server, packaged an inforobject, and downloaded it to a local device through the first program. Two files are generated. Then execute the second upload program on my trial server.

I forgot it before, but it must have been an error. This is because STMs is playing.

1. T-CODE:
STMs

Select overview-> systems. The connection of the target system is listed here, including yourself (it is estimated that cross-client connection will be used ).

If you want to upload data to other systems, configure the transmission parameters here.

2. What if I check whether the configuration is OK? Select the system to be tested, and then run the test.

If the test is different, it is estimated that there is a problem with the host settings. You 'd better execute all three.

3. connection test

If the test fails, select change to check the host settings.

In general, if the default value is incorrect, you need to change the actual value. Save the modified value and test again.

You need to modify the parameters according to the actual values.

4. When you click Save in the previous step, you may not be able to write: tp_domain_bwd.pfl. Therefore, you need to set the directory permission. Like our self-sufficiency, we can also remove the sap permissions under the USR directory. Or you can join everyone.
Note that the sap directory is shared with two file names, saploc and sapmnt, which must be set separately. Save the STMs settings again.

5. Use the upload program again for import. Everything is OK.

I wanted to package all Bi content and import it to my server. I think it is better to have multiple tests at a time. Find a machine that has activate Bi content and use transport
After the connection package is completed, when the program is executed, the system prompts that the request cannot be found. You can select the request, but the system prompts that the request cannot be found. I asked basic for help. I found myself wrong.

The error is caused by the failure to configure the target to be transmitted, including the failure to configure the local machine. This is because the target is not defined when you create a package. The reason why the target is not defined is that you must

Then you recreate the request and define the target. Then, you can see different structures in SE09.

After all this is done, the download program is re-executed, and the import process is quite smooth.

Finally, there was a problem.

When I was about to export data, I began to scream again. The volume was too large and it was very hard. Why did the import fail?

I don't know what to think this day. I switched to the client: 000 to log on. A miracle occurred.
