Install Broadcom 802.11b/G wireless network card Ubuntu 9.10 in Dell laptop

The Local Wireless NIC driver cannot be installed, which is inconvenient. After reading a lot of information, Dell and Broadcom do not provide drivers for Linux. The existing drive is b43, refer to http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43

 

However, the instructions are not in English, and the installation method above finally encountered a problem. Khan ~~~~~~~~ It's just not done .............

The chip type is bcm4312 802.11b/g.

My Nic is B/g, but a/B/g is supported. I don't know if my understanding is correct ~~~~ All of them are of the 4312 model, so complicated .....

 

At last, I accidentally found that my wireless network card was actually equipped with a driver, but it was not correct. Search for Broadcom in the new software package manager. It is found that there are four items in total and two items have been installed.

Remove the two items and then select

These two items. I don't know if I can omit this item. After the restart, the NIC will be ready.
