When centos 7.1 is installed in VMware, if it is directly installed, whether it is automatic or custom (custom refers to VMware's custom), centos will be fully automated during installation. By default, the installation is in English, so that the Chinese display will be problematic. According to the general method on the Internet:
1. Yum install fonts-Chinese
Yum search Yum install fonts-ISO8859-2
2. You can also set centos. ISO on CD, find the two packages from the CD, find them under/centos/, and install them,
Rpm-IVH fonts-chinese.rpm
Rpm-IVH fonts-ISO8859-2.rpm
I guess it is because some fonts are not installed, but I don't know what to install. This problem has plagued me for a few days. I remember that when centos was installed, you can select a language.
According to some methods on the internet, when creating a virtual machine in VMware 7.1, choose I will install the operating system later, which means that the system will be installed later, instead of the installer disc image file (ISO ), select the ISO file and install it immediately.
Then, set the CD drive in the virtual machine to load the ISO and then start. In this way, the installation of cetnos is the same as that of non-virtual machines. You can select a Chinese language and set many other installation options.
VMware has made the tool easy to use, but did not expect it to bring new problems.
