Install Adobe reader in Backtrack5

The office software Openoffice and Libreoffice in Linux are both very good, and the small foxit reader is also very good. However, I am still used to using adobe reader, so I decided to install adobe reader in bt5.
1. Download the compressed package
Root @ bt :~ # Cd/tmp
Root @ bt:/tmp # wget-c http: // 221.1.222.15: 82/down/AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.tar.bz2
Download To/tmp.
2. Unzip the downloaded package:
Root @ bt:/tmp # tar jxvf AdbeRdr9.4.2-1_i486linux_enu.tar.bz2
Tar: Record size = 8 blocks
AdobeReader/
AdobeReader/INSTALL
AdobeReader/ReadMe.htm
AdobeReader/COMMON. TAR
AdobeReader/ILINXR. TAR
Decompress the package and generate a folder named AdobeReader in the/tmp path.
3. Installation
Root @ bt:/tmp # cd AdobeReader
Root @ bt:/tmp/AdobeReader # ls
COMMON. tar ilinxr. tar install ReadMe.htm
Root @ bt:/tmp/AdobeReader #./INSTALL
This installation requires 145 MB of free disk space.
 
Enter installation directory for Adobe Reader 9.4.2 [/opt] # Press Enter
/Opt
 
Installing platform independent files... Done
Installing platform dependent files... Done
Setting up libraries... Done
Setting up desktop and menu icons... Done
Setting up the browser plugin... Done
 
Okay, install it to/opt. At this time, Adobe Reade 9 is added to Applications -- Office in the upper right corner of the desktop, and you can view the pdf file.
