Install mplayer in CentOS source code

I recently learned how to install the software using the build source code, the exercises assigned by the teacher, and how to install the mplayer player with the learned knowledge. On the Internet, I learned that mplayer is very powerful and useful in linux. However, many problems have been encountered during the installation process, such as software packages that have never been accessed, and the errors reported are unknown. I asked the teacher and Baidu to search for the materials and was finally conquered by me. So I wrote a blog to share it with you.

First, obtain the source code package online.

2. Go to mplayer and decompress the compressed file.

1,./configure generate the configuration file Makefile <option -- enable-gui to install the graphical user interface>

2. error message: Install yasm in source code first.

3. Return to the mplayer directory to install yasm (./configure make; make install)

3. Go to the MPlayer-1.1 and generate the configuration file (configure -- enable-gui) to generate executable binary files and copy the binary files to the system, configure the application environment (make; make install)

1. If a library zlib * is missing during compilation, install it with yum install.

4. Another error is reported after recompilation.

1, yum install gtk2-devel *

3. Re-execute the source code to compile the classic three steps./configure -- enable-gui make; make install will not cause any problems.

6. After the installation is complete, you can open it in either of the following ways:

1. Direct gmplayer command

2. the absolute path for mplayer to connect to the video file is mplayer/software/mplayer/xiyou. rmvb.
