Install Oracle on Solaris _ start Oracle and listen

Oracle has been installed many times in both Linux and Solaris, and almost never succeeded. At the beginning of the installation, I couldn't even see the installation page. Later, I can see the installation page. Some errors will be reported during the installation process. After the installation is complete, the service cannot be started. Recently, the installation was successful under Solaris and no error was reported. Please share with us.

Operating System: Solaris10
Database: Oralce9

10202_client_solx86.zip
10202_clusterware_solx86.zip
I only installed 10202_database_solx86.zip in these three files.

1. Transfer media to the server

I use FTP to upload the media to the server.

2. modify several system parameters related to memory allocation

# Vi/etc/system (restart is recommended after completing this step)

# Minimum number of semaphores IN THE SYSTEM

Set semsys: seminfo_semmni = 100

# The maximum number of signals in each traffic signal set.
Set semsys: seminfo_semms = 256

# Set the maximum number of bytes for the shared memory segment. We recommend that you set the value to a greater value than the physical memory size.
Set shmsys: shminfo_shmmax = 4294967295

# Maximum number of shared memory segments
Set shmsys: Sh minfo_shmmni = 100

3. Check the packages on which the installation depends

# Pkginfo-I SUNWarc SUNWbtool SUNWhea SUNWlibm SUNWlibms SUNWsprot
SUNWsprox SUNWtoo SUNWi1of SUNWi1cs SUNWi15cs SUNWxwfnt

Install the missing package (this new package can be found on the system installation disc)

# Pkgadd-d/cdrom/sol_10_assist_x86/Solaris_10/Product SUNWi1cs SUNWi15cs

Iv. Groups and users required for Oracle Installation

# Groupadd dba

# Groupadd oinstall

# Useradd-g dba-G oinstall-d/export/home/oracle-moracle

# Passwd oracle (modify the oracle user password)

5. Create a directory for users to install Oracle

# Mkdir-p/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1
# Chown-R oracle: oinstall/u01

 

# Mkdir-p/export/home/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1
# Chown-R oracle: oinstall/export/home/oracle

6. Set Oracle environment parameters

Switch to the Oracle directory

# Vi. profile

TMP =/tmp; export TMP
TMPDIR = $ TMP; export TMPDIR
ORACLE_BASE =/u01/app/oracle; export ORACLE_BASE
ORACLE_HOME = $ ORACLE_BASE/product/10.2.0/db_1; export ORACLE_HOME
ORACLE_SID = TSH1; export ORACLE_SID
PATH = $ ORACLE_HOME/bin: $ PATH; export PATH

DISPLAY = 127.0.0.1: 0.0; export DISPLAY

VII. Installation

Switch to Oracle user

# Su-oracle

Decompress the Installation File

# Unzip 10202_database_solx86.zip

Run runInstaller in the directory (this operation must be performed on the graphic interface)

#./RunInstaller

The next installation is similar to the installation in windows, but during the installation process, you need to use the root user to execute two scripts (there is a prompt, including the script location, as shown in the following figure .)

8. start/stop Oracle listening

# Lsnrctl start

# Lsnrctl stop

9. Start the Oracle service

Switch to Oracle user

# Su-oracle

# Sqlplus "/as sysdba"

SQL> startup

Disable Oracle service

SQL> shutdown
