1、download source file pidgin-2.0.2.tar.bz2 2. Prepare to compile the dependencies required by Pidgin: sudoapt-getbuild-depgaim3、decompressed pidgin-2.0.2.tar.bz2 4. cdpidgin-2.0.2 (switch to the directory after decompression) 5 ,. /configure -- prefix =/usr (for compiling and configuration) 6. make (for compiling the source code package, this process will be very long. 2. Prepare the dependency packages required for Pidgin Compilation:
Sudo apt-get build-dep gaim
3. decompress the pidgin-2.0.2.tar.bz2

6. make)
7. install sudo make install (to the System)
Pidgin has been compiled. Enter pidgin on the terminal.
