Install ubuntu on VMware, and remotely connect to SecureCRT, ubuntusecurecrt

Tools:

VMware: VMware-workstation-full_12.5.5.17738.exe

Ubuntu: ubuntu-16.04-server-amd64.iso

Remote connection tool -- SecureCTR: securecrt8.0chinese cracked version @304_242483.exe

Installation steps:

[1] install VMware. Next, check and agree to the next step, change the installation path, follow the default next step, and click Install.

VMware Workstation 12 serial number: 5A02H-AU243-TZJ49-GTC7K-3C61N permanently valid

[2] create a virtual machine

(1) Open VMware and click Create new virtual machine on the home page ];

(2) Select custom to install and click Next ];

(3) keep the default hardware compatibility. Click [next ];

(4) select [install the operating system later] and click [next ];

(5) Select Linux as the client operating system, Ubantu64 as the version, and click [next ];

(6) The Virtual Machine name is random. Select a sufficient disk for the installation location and click [next ];

(7) The default number of processors is 1. Click [next ];

(8) specify to allocate 2 GB of memory and click [next ];

(9) Select "Use Network Address Translation (NAT)" (E) as the network type and click "Next ];

(10) Select the recommended options for the I/O controller and disk type, and click [next ];

(11) Select "Create a new Virtual Disk" and click "Next ];

(12) If the disk size is greater than 20 GB, split the virtual disk into multiple files and click [next ];

(13) Click "Next" to view the disk files ];

(14) confirm that the information is correct and click Finish ];

(15) The VM is created successfully. Click CD/DVD (SATA) on the left side of the New Territories page, select the ISO image file in the pop-up box on the right, and select the corresponding path, click OK. (prepare the iso image file on your computer first)

(16) Click the network adapter in the list on the left, select bridging mode in the pop-up box on the right, and click OK. (bridging mode allows external remote access to this virtual machine, only Local access is allowed in NAT mode)

(17) Click Enable this virtual machine in the upper-left corner to enter the Ubuntu configuration;

[3] Install ubuntu in VMware (1) language selection: English [Press enter] (2) Install Ubuntu Server [Press enter] (3) Select a language [English press enter] (4) select you location Select your region. [Default United States Carriage Return] (5) configure the keyboard [select no carriage return -- English us Carriage Return] (6) configure the network Hostname: Default TE [continue] (7) set up users and password: This is very important. Remember to set it yourself. [Continue] (8) configure the clock to set the clock. the default value is good. This can be changed after the system is installed. [Press enter] (9) Partition disks [select manual and press enter] --- [Finish partitioning and write change to disk] (10) If the menu is put back, select detect disk in the menu, then Finish partitioning and write change to disk [yes] (11) configure the package manager HTTP directly [continue] (12) refreshing ing tasksel [install XXX] second option (13) software selection [select the first manual package selection by space] a "*" will be selected. [Press enter] (14) install the GBUB boot loader on a hard disk [yes] (15) finish the installation [continue press enter] -------------------------------- end installation ------------------------------------- (16) the above-mentioned important user name and password Logon (17) command sudo passwd root, enter Password [Press enter] (18) su: Switch the account to the root account (19) command vi/etc/network/interfaces [Press enter] to write the configuration file (20) the configuration file includes:

(21) Press ESC to save the file and exit the command [: wq press enter]

(22) device restart: command reboot

(23) after the device restarts, run the command ifconfig to check whether the IP address has been modified.

[4] remote connection to ssh

(1) command: apt-get update [Press enter]

(2) command: apt-get install openssh-server

(3) command: vi/etc/ssh/sshd_config, comment out the place in the red box and add # in front, then copy a line followed by yes

(4) command: ps-ef | grep ssh
