The purpose of installing vmware tools is to make the backtrack5 system better run on the vmwarevm, so that the desktop system can automatically adapt to the Virtual Machine window size, and can directly add the automatically started network to the system, you do not need to manually start the network the next time you start backtrack5.

Let's start the backtrack system first,

At this point, we enter root in bt login, press enter, and then the password is displayed: here we enter toor (you can change the account password to 0.0. How can I change it to Baidu. ).

After entering the information, press enter to go To the linux shell. Then we enter startx to enable the Desktop System and install our vm tools.

After logging in, press ctrl + alt to exit the mouse (because we have not installed vm tools, the mouse cannot be moved between the physical machine and the virtual machine, and drag files .)

In the vmvirtual machine software, click the VM in the top menu bar, and then the install vmware tool will appear below.

Switch to the backtrack desktop after clicking it.

For the vmware tools disk, double-click it and copy it to VMwareTools ....... Copy the tar.gz file

In the Home folder (you can also copy it to another folder. Here we will demonstrate it in the home folder .). Of course, you can also use linux shell for replication. This is not demonstrated here.

 

Copy to the home folder and open the linux shell,

Enter

Cd/home

Ls

Tar-zxf VM *

Ls

Cd vm *

Ls

/Vmware-install.pl

Note the case sensitivity. after entering the information, press Enter.
