Install cURL for PHP5 in Ubuntu Linux

Enabling curl or adding curl is a bit of a code. This document assumes that the LAMP environment has been installed in Ubuntu Linux. For more information about the LAMP environment, see the simple installation tutorial for Ubuntu 10.04 LAMP Server.


First, check whether your php5 has been installed with curl. The method is as follows:
1. Create a test. php file in the web Server Directory (usually/var/www in Ubuntu ).
2. edit the file and type the following code:
<? Php phpinfo ();?>
3. Save the file
4. Open your browser and browse the webpage. (For example, http: // localhost/test. php)
5. Search for "curl" to see if curl has been installed. If it is not found, it is definitely not installed. to install it, please refer to the following.

The installation method is simple. You only need one command. (Here we choose to install apt-get directly, because it is much easier than self-compiling, and you do not need to configure anything yourself)

# Sudo apt-get install curl libcurl3 libcurl3-dev php5-curl

Congratulations, PHP5 cURL has been installed. Remember to restart the Apache server

# Sudo/etc/init. d/apache2 restart

If the problem persists, edit your php. ini file (my file is/etc/php5/apache2/php. ini) and add a line at the end:

Extension = curl. so

Save the file and restart the Apache server.
