Kali Linux installation conditions
Installing Kali Linux on your computer is easy. First, you need compatible computer hardware. Kali supports i386, amd64, and ARM (armel and armhf) platforms. The minimum hardware requirements are as follows. Better hardware performance will be better. I386 image uses the PAE kernel by default, so you can run it on a machine larger than 4 GB memory. Download Kali Linux and burn the DVD disk, or prepare a Kali Linux Live USB flash disk as the installation medium. Installation conditions
- Install Kali Linux with at least 8 GB hard disk space.
- I386 and amd64 architectures, with a minimum memory of MB.
- CD-DVD drive/USB boot
Prepare for Installation
- Download Kali linux.
- Burn Kali Linux to a DVD disk or create a Kali Linux image U disk.
- Make sure that the BIOS on your computer is booted from CD/USB.
How to install Kali Linux
1. Start installation and start from the installation media you select. You will see the Kali boot interface. Select GUI installation or text installation. Here, we select the graphical interface for installation.
2. Select your preferred language and country. You will be prompted to configure a proper Keymap for your keyboard.
3. the installer copies the image to your hard disk, detects your network interface, and prompts you to enter the host name for your system. In this example, we enter "Kali" as the host name.
4. Enter a strong password for the root account, or create an additional account if necessary.
5. Set the time zone in the next step.
6. the installer detects the hard disk and provides four options. In this example, we use the entire hard disk of the computer and do not set LVM (logical volume manager ). Advanced users can use "Manual" to configure their own partition structure.
7. Check the hard disk configuration before making irreversible changes to the installer. After you click "continue", the installer starts to work and the installation is coming to an end.
8. Configure the network Mirrors. Kali to use the central source distribution software. Enter appropriate proxy information when necessary.
Note! If you select "NO", you will not be able to install software from the Kali source.
9. Next, install GRUB.
10. Finally, click Continue to restart the system to enter the newly installed Kali.
After installation
