Install PHP3 in Windows

This article only discusses how to install PHP3 in WindowsNT4.0, Windows20000, and IIS4.0. Php3is php-3.0.14-win32.zip. 1. download the software from http://www.php.net/download-php.php3to download the latest win32binary. 2. software installation you can only discuss how to install PHP3 in Windows NT 4.0, Windows 20000, and IIS 4.0 from http.
Php3is php-3.0.14-win32.zip.
I. software download
You can download the latest Win32 binary version from http://www.php.net/download-php.php3.
II. software installation
You can get detailed installation from http://www.php.net/manual/install-windows95-nt.php3
Method. You can install it as follows:
1. decompress the downloaded software using winzip.zip to a directory where you want to use $ PHP_HOME
Identifier;
2. copy the php3.ini-dist file under the $ PHP_HOME directory to the '% Windows %' directory and rename it
Php3.ini, the typical '% Windows %' directory is like this, which is identified by $ WINDOWS_HOME:
C: \ Windows in windows 95/98
C: \ winnt or c: \ winnt40 in Windows NT
3. modify the php3.ini file in the $ WINDOWS_HOME Directory:
A) change 'extension _ dir' to the value of $ PHP_HOME;
B) remove ';' before 'extension = php3 _ *. dll ';';
C) set browscap to $ WINDOWS_HOME \ system32 \ inetsrv \ browscap. ini;
D) set SMTP to the name of the IMAP server with Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino, for example:
Mail.chinaweal.com;
E) remove ';' before upload_tmp_dir and set upload_tmp_dir
A directory with full control. this directory is used to store temporary files during upload;
F) open Internet Service Manager and select the corresponding Web Site to open
On the Properties page, select Home Directory, press Configuration, and in App Ings, press Add
In Executable, enter $ PHP_HOME \ php3.exe % s, enter. php3 in Extension, and then
Press OK.
