3. perform an online upgrade of yum update4. install the Desktop System yum groupinstall "Desktop" yum groupinstall "X Window System" www.2cto.com 5. install Chinese Support yum groupinstall "Chinese Support" [note] when installing minial centos, if you select English by default, you need to modify/etc/sysconfig/i18n, change LANG to LANG = "zh_CN.UTF-8"
6. start gnomestartx and press Ctrl + Alt + F2. if you want to enable Yang to automatically start gnome, edit the/etc/inittab file and change id: 3: initdefault to id: 5: initdefault takes effect after restart.
