Install JDK in Ubuntu

1. Download JDK: jdk-7u65-linux-x64.tar.gz

2. decompress the package. You can decompress the package by using the 7z package downloaded from the software center, or by entering the command to decompress the package.

3. Move the decompressed package to/usr/lib/JVM.

Sudo MV jdk1.7.0 _ 65/usr/lib/JVM

4. modify the configuration file of the current logon User:

Sudo gedit ~ /. Profile

5. Add the following at the end of the file:

Export java_home =/usr/lib/JVM

Export Path = $ java_home/bin: $ path

Save and close

6.Use the source command: Source/etc/profile

7. Check whether Java-version is installed.
