Install LAMP and WPMU locally in Ubuntu8.04

1. install LAMP system under Ubuntu8.04-& gt; System Management-& gt; New Software Package Manager, open the new software package, edit-& gt; Use the task group to mark the software package-& gt; check the LAMPServer. During the installation process, you will be prompted to set the password of the root user of mysql. Add the following line to the configuration file in the/etc/apache2 directory in/etc/apache2/httpd. conf: ServerName127.0.0.12.

2. Install phpmyadmin in Ubuntu 8.04
Sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

After installation, the virtual directory configuration file phpmyadmin. conf is automatically created in the/etc/apache2/conf. d directory.

After installation, enter http: // localhost/phpmyadmin to log on and create a wpmu database.

3. Start the mod_rewrite module
Sudo a2enmod rewrite

4. Install WPMU in Ubuntu 8.04
(1) download WPMU from the official homepage and decompress it ~ /Blog directory (/home // blog)

(4) modify the/etc/hosts file (because wpmu must use the domain name format)

Modify 127.0.0.1 localhost

(5) Enter http://my.com/blogin firefox. Install WPMU
