Install Mac OSX tiger 10.4.4 x86 with Vmware

As for the reason, the Internet says that there is a problem with the cooperation between Apple and IBM, move Mac to Intel's X86 processor. however, if Microsoft's Vista comes out, and the interface effect is better than Mac, it is estimated that Mac will be more difficult to enter the PC market. however, in any case, Mac's UI is indeed top-notch, No matter what mood you are looking at, it is really cool enough and the user experience is great
In the past, I tried n times to install a Mac, but they all failed. pearpc can install a Mac. But what about the slow speed?
This time I got Mac OSX tiger 10.4.4 x86.
First of all, this ISO image can be directly loaded as a virtual Optical Drive Using daemon. The size of the image I got is 4,588,544 kb, which is 4 GB. Because I don't have a DVD optical drive, you can only use a virtual optical drive and then use VMware to install it.
I use vmware workstation 5.5.1. If you want to use gsx Server 3.2, I think it is unnecessary.
First, check the following items before installing them:

4. Empty Hard Disk

Installation steps:

2. Open VMware and create a virtual machine. For my virtual machine, I allocated MB of memory for it. The optical drive uses the physical optical drive I (that is, the optical drive created by Daemon) and the hard drive, use the 40 Gb physical hard disk. after the virtual machine is created, edit the virtual machine, delete the sound card, or delete the NIC, because I am afraid that the sound card or NIC will affect my installation.
3. Start the VM and press f2 to enter BIOS setup. disable the parallel port and serial port, set the soft drive to none, and set the soft drive controller to disable. Why? Because I didn't disable it at the beginning, I encountered a prompt during installation, it is related to the comport. Therefore, simply disable it. After it is disabled, it will be OK. in addition, set the boot sequence to the sequence of CDROM-> Hard Disk

In the utility toolbar, there is a disk tool that can be used to manage Mac disk partitions.
The disk partition for Mac is very simple. If you are too lazy, you can directly select your hard disk and click "erase" to split the entire hard disk into one partition. The erase in Mac is equivalent to formatting in PC, after the partition name is erased, the partition name turns black; otherwise, the partition name turns gray. The black partition name indicates that Mac OSX can be installed for this partition, because this part is operated in full screen (otherwise, it is very difficult to see this toolbar), so it is not possible to capture images. However, this part is also simple, as long as you are in full screen mode, just do as you do.
6. After hard disk partitioning is ready, disable the disk tool. At this time, the Protocol is displayed. Click continue. Mac will make you accept the protocol.

Of course, if you have installed it on a physical machine, I believe you can renew it in half an hour. After the installation is complete, the system prompts you to restart and click restart to restart. After the installation is complete, note that, still boot from the optical drive, however, this time, we do not press any key, because the screen prompt is "press any key to install... "Well, if you don't press any key, you can start the Mac. After the Mac is started, you need to set the time zone, language, keyboard, and so on. 9. It's finished. It's finally succeeded. Hey, wait... how can I restart it ???? Here, I encountered another problem. I had to go to the display desktop. Why did I restart the desktop? I restarted again and found that I couldn't restart it. I was dizzy !, What happened? I tried it several times and found that VMware's hard drive indicator and optical drive indicator flashed a few times, so it went off. Then the screen didn't respond. It was strange. at this time, I am going to uninstall the OSX disc image in the daemon optical drive, prepare to replace it with the dark red leaf boot disk for diagnosis, but suddenly found that daemon prompts "unable to uninstall ,... lock ", hey, will the problem occur here? I tried several times and never unmounted the Mac disc image on the I disk. therefore, it is strange that you quit VMware and cannot unload the CD image. change the virtual machine settings, delete the optical drive, add the optical drive, use the ISO Image Optical Drive, select the installation disc image of Mac OSX, and then start the virtual machine. This time, OK. maybe for some reason, the daemon virtual drive I is locked and cannot be read by the Mac. In any case, I solved the problem. below is the picture after the startup

However, one more thing upset me, that is, the Mac cannot be started directly from the hard disk. I checked that the MAC partition is activated and bootable. However, when I set the hard disk as the first boot device in the virtual machine, the Mac does not boot at all, and the optical disc and hard disk indicators do not flash, it is really confusing, I searched on Google, no one seems to have encountered this problem. Can I only boot from a CD? Hope to have expert advice
Mac installation is actually relatively simple. I personally think it is simpler than Windows installation, but I am afraid you will encounter many problems when getting in touch with it for the first time, after all, it is just transplanted to x86. I hope Mac OSX x86 will become better and better.
