Installing MAC on AMD is a headache,

I am here mainly for students who need to learn about the development of the apple platform. If you don't want to waste too much time tossing, you can refer to my practices.

My advice is to install mac OS x 10.6.3 and the corresponding xcode version is 3.2.2.

If you want to upgrade to a later version, you may encounter many problems even under virtual machines.

Now go to the topic:

I use the following software,

Virtual Machine: VMware 7.1.2

Boot: darwin_snow_legacy.iso (amd cpu must use this to guide properly)

System Disk: MAC. OS. X.10.6.3.Retail. dmg (the most error-free version)

Xcode: xcode_3.2.2_and_iphone_sdk_3.2_final.dmg)

These resources can be easily found on google. I will not give them a link here, so I am afraid they will become invalid after a long time.

You may need other video card patches or sound card patches later. I will also mention them here.

Sound Card Patch: EnsoniqAudioPCI2.mpkg

Video Card patch VMsvga2.pkg

These two patches and the guidance of darwin_snow_legacy are included in my resource sharing.

Now follow the steps to install our system

#1 install VMware

The installation of VMware is simple and there should be no problems.

#2 create a virtual machine

File-> New-> Virtual Machine

Basically, you can click Next all the way, but remember to allocate a larger size when allocating hard disk space. I allocated 50 GB.

The details are as follows:

1: select Custom for configuration type.

2: Choose Workstation 6.5-7.x for Hardware compatibility.

3: install from select I will install the operation system later

4: select other for guest operating system and FreeBSD 64bit for Version.

5: Virtual machine name is random, and location is random. Pay attention to the fact that your space is large enough.

6: processors generally selects one processor and two cores.

7: To allocate more memory, try to allocate more.

8: select the second option for Network connection.

9: select the second item.

10: select the first item.

11: select the second item.

12: one step towards allocating hard disk space, a larger allocation will be made for development. 20 GB of random space should be enough.

13: Click next directly.

14: Click finish.

In this way, the virtual machine is created.

#3 modify the mac OS X. vmx file and delete the drive

1. Find the mac OS X. vmx file in the Virtual Machine directory and open it in a text editor.

Modify the guestOS line as follows:

GuestOS = "darwin10"

The Virtual Machine directory here is the location of step 2 of VM creation above.

2. setting-> hardware

Click "remove" when you see the software drive item.

#4 Use darwin pilot

Setting-> Hardware-> CD/DVD-> connection-> use IOS image file

Add the darwin_snow_legacy.iso file.

#5 install the system

Now we can start the VM.

Go in and see this picture.

At this time, it requires us to put the mac OS x installation disk,

Open setting-> hardware-> CD/DVD-> use IOS image file

Here we replace the darwin boot with Mac. OS. X.10.6.3.Retail. dmg.

Note that the dmg file can be viewed only when the filter item is changed to all files.

Then the device status will be checked with connected,

Go back to the installation page and click F5. The MAC installation disk appears.

Press enter to start the installation. Then we can see the following figure. Select your preferred language and go to the next step.

Why can't I find any disks that can be installed after I select "continue? Take a look.

Select utility> disk tool> and select erase. Note that the format is mac OS extension (Log Type). After the disk is erased, you can select this disk for installation,

Wait for about 30 minutes to complete the system installation.

Happy now for those who do not need to develop

Note that after the system is successfully installed, you must switch back to the original boot darwin_snow_legacy.iso. Otherwise, the system cannot be started.

This is what it looks like when you start the system. Select the apple icon on the right to install the system.

#6 install Xcode

How can I see the xcode Installation File on mac?

In this case, we need to install a vmware tool on the mac, which is in the upper right corner of the desktop.

Open the file and install it.

After that, we need to set shared folder,

In the virtual machine settings, for example,

Add our shared directory and put the xcode installation package in it

In this way, you can see these files in the mac.

Well .. There is no difficulty in installing xcode. You can enjoy it!
