If you encounter the ability to play audio, but you cannot play the video, the video prompts the following error:
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-VO) device
In fact, the solution is simple:
Open MPlayer. Right-click and select Preferences--and Video tab--select X11 in the Availabe Drivers. -Click OK to close the settings. Restart MPlayer. Open a video to see the problem solved.
