Extract the Installation archive

Https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/windows-install-archive.html

  1. If you are upgrading from a previous version, please refer to the Upgrade tutorial.
  2. Make sure that the user who is currently logged on has Administrator privileges
  3. Select an installation location. Typically, the MySQL service is installed in C:\mysql , and the MySQL Installation Wizard will install MySQL on the ' C:\Program files\mysql '. If you do not want to install MySQL in ' C:\mysql ', you must specify the path to the installation directory in the startup or options file.
  4. unzip the zip file to the installation directory you specified using your preferred decompression software. Some decompression software creates a parent folder for the files in the archive, and if this happens, you can move the files inside to the installation directory.

Create an options file

Select MySQL server type Initialize data directory

Start server custom MySQL tool path for the first time

Set MySQL as a Windows service

Test MySQL Installation
