Install nvidia-glx In debian-Linux Release Technology-Debian information. See the following for details. Some newer nvidia graphics cards (especially motherboard Integration) need to install the nvidia-glx package to enable the X-interface. However, the following error occurs when apt-get install nvidia-glx is performed in SID recently:

Nvidia-glx: Depends: nvidia-kernel-100.14.19 but it is not installable

The temporary solution is as follows:

# Apt-get install nvidia-kernel-source nvidia-kernel-common nvidia-settings nvidia-xconfig module-assistant
# Cd/usr/src
# Tar-zvxf nvidia-kernel-source.tar.gz
# CC =/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 module-assistant? Unpack-once build nvidia
# Dpkg-I nvidia-kernel-2.6 *. deb
