Install Oracle 11g database software in CentOS5.6

After the CentOS system is installed, you can start the installation of Oracle 11g. First, you must make some preparations.

Use commands to create an Oracle account and corresponding user groups

Create a folder and grant the Oracle user permissions, as shown in the command
Use the root account to make a series of changes to the corresponding system files, and use the oracle account to set directories such as ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_BASE, and ORACLE_HOME. (The specific settings are similar to those for 10 Gb installation and are no longer repeated)

After setting the DISPLAY value through the oracle account, in the corresponding Oracle software installation directory, click the./runInstaller command to start installing the Oracle 11g software.

Enter the registered email address and password supported by Oracle, and click Next to go to the Next step.

Select to install only the database software and click Next to continue

Select single-instance database installation and click Next to go to the Next step.

Add the Simplified Chinese language to the language selection, and click Next to go to the Next step.

Choose to install the Enterprise Edition database software and click Next to continue

Oracle will install the ORACLE_BASE and ORACLE_HOME folders according to the settings, and click Next to continue

Set the directory where the installation file is located. By default, click Next to go to the Next step.

Select the management group and operation group of Oracle. By default, click Next to continue.

The system scans the required prerequisites for installation and click Fix & Check Again to solve the problem.

As prompted, you need to open another window, run the script shown in the root account, and click OK.

You can use the yum-y install command to download and install the supported packages required by the system.

Click Check Again and the following information is displayed:

Click Finish to start installation.

After the installation is complete, you need to run the two scripts with the root permission. After the installation is complete, click OK.

Click Close to Close. Now, the installation of the Oracle 11g software on CentOS 5.6 is complete.
