I 've been hearing that installing Oracle on Ubuntu is quite troublesome. I 've experienced it today and may be lucky. There's no problem. Just record it and declare that I installed Oracle XE, that is, the quick version mentioned on the official website, which requires a lot of trouble to install the Enterprise Edition and does not support Ubuntu.
The procedure is as follows:
1. Add the http://oss.oracle.com/debian unstable non-free to the software source
2. add the sudo apt-key add RPM-GPG-KEY-oracle key (but I am prompted that the KEY is invalid during installation, but it is installed at the end. I am not familiar with it)
3. sudo apt-get update (but I didn't have any updates immediately after I added them, and there was no response. After a few hours, I was prompted to install the update automatically)
4. It will be automatically installed normally.
5. configure the database sudo/etc/init. d/oracle-xe configure, which includes options such as the listening port number, http port, and account password. It can be installed by default. Of course, you must set your own password.
6. After the installation is complete, many people on the internet prompt that they want to configure the environment variables, but I found that the installation process is configured by myself, http://ubuntuone.cn/you can check through ECHO $ ORACLE_HOME and other methods. If you have not set it yourself
6. normally in The GNOME environment, the Oracle menu bar will be added to the application bar, and you will be able to go to the Database Home Page. Normally, you will be able to go to the database home page at: http: // 127.0.0.1: 8080/apex, (8080 is the port number you set during configuration, and my default value is 8080), and then enter the user name and password to log on.
~~~ Seemingly simple, haha ~ I hope you will feel the same way ~ Continue Learning ~
