1. Install the support packages required by asm
A. Download the support package from the oracle Website:

B. Download the corresponding asm installation package based on the Linux kernel:

Oracleasm-2.6.18-8.el5-2.0.4-1.el5.i686.rpm
Oracleasm-2.6.18-8.el5PAE-2.0.4-1.el5.i686.rpm
Oracleasm-2.6.18-8.el5xen-2.0.4-1.el5.i686.rpm
Oracleasmlib-2.0.3-1.el5.i386.rpm
Oracleasm-support-2.0.4-1.el5.i386.rpm
C. Install rpm-Uvh ...... -- nodeps

D. After the installation is complete, partition the disk used for asm (here I use three hard disks: hd [a, B, d]):

All hard disks are partitioned based on the preceding parameters.
E. Create an asm Disk

/Etc/init. d/oracleasm configure
/Etc/init. d/oracleasm createdisk ORACLEASM1/dev/hda1
/Etc/init. d/oracleasm createdisk ORACLEASM2/dev/hdb1
/Etc/init. d/oracleasm createdisk ORACLEASM3/dev/hdd1
F. view the asm Disk:/etc/init. d/oracleasm listdisks
2. Install oracle, only install software (installation omitted), and then create asm and database through dbca
3. Create an asm instance
A. Create the initialization file init + ASM. ora in $ ORACLE_HOME/dbs as follows:
*. Asm_diskstring = 'orcl: ORACLEASM *'
*. Background_dump_dest = '/oracle/app/oracle/admin/+ ASM/bdump'
*. Core_dump_dest = '/oracle/app/oracle/admin/+ ASM/cdump'
*. Instance_type = 'asm'
*. Large_pool_size = 12 M
*. Remote_login_passwordfile = 'shared'
*. User_dump_dest = '/oracle/app/oracle/admin/+ ASM/udump'
