The main hardware and software used in this case are as follows:

Host: sun-fire-v210
Operating system: SunOS 5.9 generic_117171-07
Fiber Card: Emulex lightpulse fc9002l
Arrays: EMC CLARiiON CX500
Cluster software: VERITAS STORAGE FOUNDATION for ORACLE RAC 4.0
Oracle version: Oracle9.2.0.4

1. Install the operating system

After installing the basic system, apply to the latest patches

# uname-a
SunOS cluster1 5.9 generic_117171-07 sun4u SPARC sunw,sun-fire-v210

Configure the Hosts file, set the appropriate alias, and configure a floating IP (required when configuring cluster)

# cat/etc/hosts## Internet host table#127.0.0.1 localhost 172.16.33.71 cluster2 cluster2.hurray.com.cn loghost172.16.33 . cluster1 cluster1.hurray.com.cn 172.16.33.74 Cluster cluster.hurray.com.cn

2. Install Fiber Card

This example uses the Emulex light card, Emulex Lightpulse fc9002l light card needs to download the latest driver installation on the website

Using the drive system on the disc would be inexplicably recycled, extremely depressing.

Light Card installation Log reference:

Emulex_lightpulse_fc9002l_solaris9_install

Fibre card setup requires two parameter files to be configured after installation:

Modification of Emulex Fiber card LPFC configuration file

After completing this step, reboot the machine, make the configuration effective, and connect the host to the fibre switch and the EMC array

3. Install the EMC Navisphere AGENT (naviagent)

Install the EMC Navisphere AGENT (naviagent)

When the installation is complete, reboot the server, and the agent will start automatically, and the host node should be visible from the EMC array controller

4. Allocating Disk Groups

On the EMC array side, assign the zoned disk group to the host

Allocating disk groups (EMC arrays)

After allocating the disk group, reboot the host

5. Install Veritas STORAGE FOUNDATION for ORACLE RAC 4.0 software

Install Veritas Storage fundation for Oracle Rac4.0

6. Configure Shared disks

To configure a shared disk using Volume Manager

7. Modify system Kernel Parameters

Preparing for Oracle Installation

The following parameters are appended to the end of the/etc/system file, and both hosts need to be modified:

* kernal parameter for Oracle database add By:gqgaiset shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1set Shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100set Shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=10set Semsys:seminfo_semmni=1024set semsys:seminfo_semmsl= 1510set Semsys:seminfo_semmns=3010set Semsys:seminfo_semopm=100set semsys:seminfo_semvmx=32767

Reboot host after modification
