System configuration: ubuntu12.04 jdk:1.6 eclipse:3.4
First of all, your system must have Pyton installed. Also the Ubuntu system comes with
At first I thought it was a JDK installation problem, unloading the load, and later installing the Pydev plugin in Eclipse, after the installation is complete, the Pydev is not found in the window->preference and the installation is uninstalled again. Still can't find it. Just want to put it in the end, not successful for the other IDE, when installing the Pydev plugin, suddenly found the problem, Pydev version newness (2.8.x), and the system python2.7.3 is not a version.
1. Open Eclipse:--> Help--lnstall New software ...
2. Click Add, in the name: Enter: PyDev (the name can be taken casually, the focus is the update address of the back now some are not available)
At location: Enter: http://pydev.sf.net/updates
(this link is now available and will not be known in the future.)
You can also download the corresponding library from Pydev's official website)
3. Select Pydev under Pydev for Eclipse, do not choose, otherwise rely on check that off, remove the details inside the first purchase, choose Python corresponding version installation (make sure that the same version of Python you have installed)
The latest plug-in version shown by default (my display is 3.1), my system comes with python2.7.3, so I choose to install python2.7.3 until the installation is complete
4. Configuring the Pydev Plugin
Select Preference in the Window menu,
Pydev->interpreter-python,new a Python interpreter, fill in the Interpreter name and path,
Literpreter Name:python
Literpreter executable:/usr/bin/python (if you do not know the which Python command you can enter in the terminal) the configuration results are as follows
The Pydev for Eclipse plug-in version does not appear the installation is complete, but in eclipse-"window-" perference found the problem of the Pydev option.
The version is right and nothing will go wrong. If there is a problem in the Pydev installation process, you can repeat this step, the installed package will not be reinstalled, and then the last time you continue to download the installation.
