Mac OS X is not as pirated as Windows does. If you purchase an Apple Computer product, you will receive a random OS CD, and you do not need to activate the serial number. I used to get the version 10.5.2. Before version 10.6 came out, it was relatively simple to reinstall the system. I used this CD to install it and then updated it to the latest version later than 10.5.x.

The snow leopard is complicated. This can take 39 coins to get the new version of the DVD through the official method, in fact, this price is quite low. But before I heard that a friend often use their own DVD-ROM and then broke down, resulting in the failure to install the system through the optical drive. So I want to download the latest DMG version from demonoid and install it through an external mobile hard disk.

In addition, snow leopard has 6 ~ 7 GB, so the ordinary 4.7 gb dvd can not be installed, this is why I want to use an external hard disk to install.

Mobile hard disk partitioning

1. Prepare a mobile hard disk. Back up the data before use.
2. Connect the mobile hard disk to a machine with Mac OS X
3. Start "ApplicationProgram">" Utility ">" disk tool"
4. Select China Mobile hard disk in the disk list on the left of the disk tool, and select "partition" on the right"
5. Select two partitions in the file solution. Select the first partition "1" and set the size to 10 Gb. The format is Mac OS extension (log type ).
    
6. Click the Option Button and select "guid Partition Table", because we need to start this partition.
   
7. Another partition is self-dominated, and I set it to MS-DOS (FAT) so that both Windows and Mac can read and write.
8. Click the application button and wait for the partition to complete.

Restore installation image to mobile hard disk

1. Assume that the snow leopard installation DVD image has been downloaded, named h-mosl1063.dmg, with a size of 6.83 GB. If not, we recommend that you download the BT seed from demonoid.
2. On the disk tool interface, select the first partition, click Restore, and then click image to change the image file.
3. In the disk list on the left, select the first partition of the hard disk and drag it to the "Destination disk" text box on the right.
   
4. Click Restore
5. Wait until recovery is completed. Then you can use this mobile hard drive to start and install snow leopard.

Connect the mobile hard disk to the reception and installation machine, start the computer, and press and hold the option key to wait for the boot partition selection interface. Select the installation volume of the mobile hard disk to install it. The subsequent procedures are the same as those for installation using a DVD.
