Install Sound Switcher Indicator in Ubuntu

Source: Internet
Author: User

Sound Switcher Indicator is a panel application that selects Ubuntu Sound input/output. You can switch between the current input and output (source and sink) and specific output ports by double-clicking.

Double-click to switch between the audio output of the headset, speaker, and HDMI. You do not need to go to system Settings> sound to change switching between multiple sound devices.

This application requires PulseAudio to run. It automatically obtains the device list and subscribes to the PulseAudio function.

In Ubuntu 13.10, you can run the PPA command to open the terminal and run the following command:

Sudo apt-add-repository ppa: yktooo/ppa

Sudo apt-get update

Sudo apt-get install indicator-sound-switcher

There are still some problems with Ubuntu 14.04 installation.
