Install svn plug-in eclipse and tortoiseSVN, svntortoisesvn

Version Control is generally used in project development. Most of them are svn (subVersion). svn can be used as a plug-in, it can also be used as a client. Today, we will introduce the two installation methods of svn plug-in eclipse and the installation of tortoiseSVN software for windows clients.

Install the svn plug-in eclipse:

1. Online Installation

In case of network connection, open eclipse, then open Help → Eclipse Marketplace, and search for svn

Subclipse is what we want. Click install. I have already installed the Subclipse. Otherwise, install is displayed in the same way as above. The next page selects which ones need to be installed, I think it is best to select all of them. In the beginning, I chose only two necessary ones, and the result is wrong. After the installation is complete, restart the instance.

 

2. Offline Installation

First download the svn plug-in package, which is similar to this and then decompress it. It is required to use two folders.

Then open the eclipse installation directory and put the two svn plug-ins folder (the two above) here. If you want to put them in other directories, you can (although I didn't do this ), this is to install the eclipse plug-in. Why should it be placed in unrelated folders? To differentiate, I have created two directories under the eclipse directory, as shown in this way, I added the plug-in myself, and then copied the two folders here. Next, find the dropins directory under the eclipse directory. Note that this is not created by yourself, and then create a file in it as svn. link. The editing content is path = the directory of the plug-in package you created, for example, path = C: \ tools \ developer \ eclipse-mars \ eclipse \ myPlugins \ svn, note the two backslash characters. Okay. Just enable or restart eclipse.

Find the svn resource library in show view in eclipse and you can use it.
